Hello, and welcome back to the Whitesel Church Organs blog page. Today, we’re going to discuss something extremely important to the beginning of this new decade — taking care of your pipe organ.
Keep reading for some helpful information!
Plan Your Routine Maintenance
While pipe organs are incredible, durable instruments, they need to be regularly maintained via tuning and inspection to ensure optimal performance. In fact, it’s recommended that you have your pipe organ tuned at the very least, two to three times a year.
At Whitesel Church Organs, we will happily tune your organ as much as you need. We’re experts in all things pipe organs, and you can trust that we’ll get it right the first time. Our tuners and tuner’s assistants have the ears and equipment to ensure that your pipes are perfectly tuned.
If there’s a pipe that is not in tune, we’ll take care of it efficiently and effectively. If you have a decent number of pipes that are out of tune, then we’ll likely continue by tuning all of your pipes, to ensure the best results. We recommend having your pipe organ tuned after the seasons have changed, as the shifts in weather and pressure can cause your organ to be out of tune.
In addition to having your pipe organ routinely tuned, it’s also important that you’re keeping your pipes clean. Clean pipes make for a cleaner sound, and cleaning your pipe organ’s pipes is essential for comprehensive maintenance.
Repairs And More
Another important reason to have routine maintenance conducted on your pipe organ is that through these routine inspections, our expert technicians can locate any parts in your pipe organ that are broken, malfunctioning, outdated, or even just on the verge of causing an issue.
However, we won’t just locate issues in your pipe organ, we’ll help you get them fixed — and that’s just for minor repairs. As we discussed above, if your pipe organ has a component that needs a quick fix or part replacement, we can handle that with ease.
For larger issues, we have a much more exciting and impressive service. We’re proud to say that Whitesel Church Organs has the facilities and skills to rebuild your pipe organ — either entirely or partially. From organ blowers to bellows to pipes and more, we’ve rebuilt existing pipe organs for less than it’d be to replace the affected parts.
At the end of the day, we love pipe organs, and we want to make sure that pipe organ owners have a wealth of knowledge and resources at their disposal to make certain that pipe organs and pipe organ culture are preserved for years to come.
And if you have a digital or hybrid organ? Don’t worry, we’ll be able to service and repair those with ease as well. In fact, we can even upgrade an existing organ to a hybrid organ if that’s something you’re interested in.
Finally, we offer organ rental services in the event that your organ is out of commission and you need a replacement during repairs, or for people who would like to use an organ for an event.
